Video Communications Video Of The Week

This week's video communication video of the week comes to use from Tiffany Greenaway. The students in video communication are currently working on music videos and here is her version of The Fantasy by 30 Seconds to Mars.

The video communications class at Reading High teaches the students about the art of video production and challenges students to communicate their creative ideas through the medium of video. The student video productions are about educational and school events, local and global issues, Public Service Announcements, and short films. The projects are seen on the Knight News, the morning announcements, as well as Knight Life, an hour long interview program seen on Comcast channel 22 on Monday nights during the school year. Each week we are going to highlight some of the work done by the video communication students.

You can check out more videos from the Video Communications Class on their Youtube Channel at RedKnightTV.

Reading High
Intervention
For Success
Program

For the 2011 - 2012 school year Reading High has started a new program where community members now have the opportunity to become mentors for our students. For most children and young adults, parents are the central source of emotional and social support. Many children within the high school are not fortunate enough to have an extended network of support. For these at risk students, the presence of an adult mentor can be essential for reinforcing the importance of school, fostering good work habits and study skills and providing them with the information they need to make the right choices. By serving as a caring adult role model we will be able to instill confidence into our students that anything is possible when it comes to their education and future. If you are interested in becoming a mentor to one of our students at Reading High please download the information packet below.
